Simple Extractions
A simple extraction is performed on a tooth that is visible above the gumline and can be removed without surgical intervention. This is the most common type of extraction and is typically completed quickly with local anesthesia.
After loosening the tooth with a specialized instrument, we gently remove it in one piece. Most patients experience minimal discomfort and can return to normal activities within a day or two.

Surgical Extractions
Surgical extractions are necessary when a tooth is broken below the gumline, impacted, or otherwise difficult to access. This procedure requires a small incision in the gum tissue to carefully expose and remove the tooth or tooth fragments.
We may recommend sedation options for surgical extractions to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Dissolvable sutures are placed to promote healing, and we provide comprehensive post-operative care instructions.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom teeth are the last molars to emerge, usually in the late teens or early twenties. When there isnt enough room for them to come in properly, they can become impacted, grow at odd angles, or push against neighboring teeth.
Removing problematic wisdom teeth early can prevent crowding, infection, cysts, and damage to adjacent teeth. We use 3D imaging to evaluate the position of your wisdom teeth and plan the safest approach for removal.

Aftercare & Recovery
Proper aftercare is essential for a smooth recovery after any extraction. We provide you with detailed written instructions covering everything from managing swelling with ice packs to what foods to eat during the first few days.
Most patients recover fully within one to two weeks. We schedule a follow-up visit to check healing progress and discuss tooth replacement options such as dental implants, bridges, or partial dentures if applicable.
